About Moldova State University

    History

    Moldova State University (MSU) is the first higher education institution in the Republic of Moldova. It was founded in 1946 and has since become a leading center for education and research in the country. With a rich history spanning over 75 years, MSU has contributed significantly to the development of Moldova's intellectual elite.

    Established in 1946, Moldova State University (USM) has grown to become the leading higher education institution in the Republic of Moldova. Throughout its history, USM has been committed to academic excellence, preparing specialists in various fields, and contributing to the country's intellectual, cultural, and scientific development.

    Today, USM hosts over 15,000 students, including more than 1,500 international students from 40+ countries, studying across 14 faculties and more than 80 specialties.
